The ongoing mechanization of society does not stop in Namibia. Even though it is still commonplace to encounter large paper registers in the municipalities and other offices, it is evident that the use of computers and laptops is rapidly increasing. Thus, it is very important that our children are learning the basics of working with a computer today, in order to not be left behind ten years from now.

Thanks to generous donations in kind and financial support from Germany we have been able to start our own computer lab in 2012. On seven different work stations our children are learning the essentials of computing and the effective use of office programs such as MS Word and MS Excel. After the elementary skills are acquired our volunteers are teaching the children how to independently do research on the internet and how to assess the quality of a source encountered.
